The Loose Women panel have called Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn ‘vulgar’ and ‘tacky’ for buying her newborn designer jewellery.

During an appearance on E! News’ Daily Pop on May 25, the 31-year-old reality star shared a professional photo of her little one.

In the photo – taken when Christian Jr was eight days old – Christine had him rocking a diamond-encrusted Louis Vuitton chain, which would set you back thousands.

Today’s panel – which consisted of Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Gloria Hunniford and Janet Street-Porter – labelled the necklace as ‘tacky’.

‘To me that’s ridiculous and also babies grow out of them in minutes. I’m not being judgemental – if they’ve got the money, fine, but I think it’s ridiculous,’ Gloria said.

Ruth quipped: ‘We kind of are being judgement though, aren’t we?’

Janet responded: ‘I’m being judgemental, I think it’s grotesque. When you think of all of the children in the world who don’t even have the money for pants or any nappy, let alone one with Louis Vuitton or Chanel slapped up the side, it is gross.’

Coleen nodded her head in agreement, adding that it was ‘vulgar’.

Even though Ruth understood the point they were making, she questioned whether it was all ‘relative’.

‘If we worked on that basis none of us would buy anything,’ she said.

‘It sends a message about what your values are and it distorts your view of the real world,’ Janet concluded.

Christine is a multimillionaire thanks to her work as a luxury property realtor as well as for her starring role on the reality TV show Selling Sunset.

She has an estimated net worth of $2million (£1.42million).

This is her first child with husband Christian Richard, who has an estimated net worth of around $20million (£14.4million).

Christine previously told the Daily Pop hosts that she had received backlash from the general public for returning to work so quickly after giving birth.

‘The mom-shamers are real, that’s for sure. I’ve gotten both ends of the spectrum,’ she revealed.

‘I’ve gotten people who are like, “Oh I’m so happy you’re getting back to work, that’s great!” And then I have people who are like, “You need to give your body time to recover and heal, and who’s taking care of the baby?”‘

‘I’m like, “Listen, my husband’s amazing. He’s home, the baby’s sleeping, what’s the difference?” For me, I love to work,’ she told the hosts.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
