The excitement for the French Open 2021 is on the next level as the major will begin in just three days from now. The qualifiers are going on at the moment but they’ll also get over by tomorrow. Interestingly, the announcement of the draw of the Grand Slam will take place today and tennis fans are really looking forward to it.

The French Open’s draw will begin on May 27, 2021, at 6 p.m local time in Paris. This means that it’ll start at around 8 p.m GST. The French Tennis Federation (FFT) will the one organizing the draw as usual and will reveal the fate of all the players playing at the major.

Fans can watch the draw ceremony live on Roland Garros’ official social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook. Apart from this, the ceremony will also be live on FFT’s official Twitter and Facebook handles.

The Singles’ draw of the French Open 2021 consists of 104 direct entrants based on the highest-ranked available players. Other than this, it’ll carry the names of 8 wildcard players and 16 qualifiers- making it to a total of 128 players.

What to expect from the French Open 2021 draw?

A draw largely reveals the potential opponents which a player has to face to win the Roland Garros title. All the eyes will be on Rafael Nadal, who unlike most of the years, is not one of the top two seeds this time. He is the third-seeded player after Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.

In a situation like this, there are high chances that the World No.3 Nadal might have to face Djoker in the semi-finals. However, Rafa has faced a similar situation in the past as well. Before this, he began as the third seed in 2013 where he crushed the Serbian Legend in the semis and then went on to defeat David Ferrer in the finals.

The women’s draw will not be any less intriguing. As Simona Halep withdrew from the tournament and Ashleigh Barty is going through an arm injury, all eyes will be on the 20-year-old Iga Swiatek.

Whatever be the draw- fans are quite exhilarated about the second major of the year. Who will emerge as the winner of the French Open 2021?
