The Friends reunion sees Mr Heckles star Larry Hankin return to the show after rowing with bosses over being killed off.

The long-awaited HBO Max episode features Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer as they reminisce about filming the iconic sitcom, with many beloved friends also making appearances.

One surprise cameo came from the Mr Heckles actor, so it’s safe to say he’s no longer fuming about his exit.

Die hard fans will remember Mr Heckles died in the third episode of the second season after knocking on the ceiling to Rachel and Monica’s apartment urging them to be quiet. He appeared in five episodes.

On the day Larry, who is now 80, had to film Mr Heckles’ final scenes, he blew up at the show’s bosses.

‘I walked in with a chip on my shoulder,’ he shared in an interview with Collider Live! In 2019.

‘And I didn’t know this was the first day of the new season, at least with filming, so that’s a party time for all sitcoms. They invite everyone who’s been on the show, who’s going to be on the show – the producers, everybody in the building to come down.

‘I found the three producers, I headed right for them, they were very pleasant just the three of them with drinks in their hands, and I go up to them: “What did you do? What did you do? You killed my character!”

‘All of a sudden Marta said, “Larry, can we talk about this another night?” The lower someone talks the more trouble you’re in.

‘I suddenly realised the entire room shut up because I was shouting.’

What is Larry Hankin doing now and what age is he?

Besides portraying Mr Heckles, Larry also had a recurring role in Breaking Bad as Old Joe, the owner of Rocker Salvage.
