The release date for the new episodes of Lucifer on Netflix has almost arrived, with season five part two reuniting fans of the fantasy series with the devilish Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and the rest of the cast.

Lucifer, based on the DC Comics character of the same name, follows the titular character – otherwise known as the Devil – as he decides to move out of Hell and settle in Los Angeles, where he runs a nightclub called Lux.

He eventually becomes a consultant for the LAPD, using his supernatural abilities to crack cases, all the while forging a close connection with Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German).

Having originally launched in 2016, Lucifer is set to end with season six.

So what time does Lucifer season five part two come out and how many episodes are there?

As is the case when TV shows are launched on the streaming platform, the show is expected to become available to watch from midnight PDT in California, where the firm’s headquarters are based.

This means that the new episodes should come out on Netflix at 8am in the UK, which is eight hours ahead in BST.

As new content is released by Netflix across the globe at the same time, this would also mean that people on the East Coast of the US can watch from 3am, while individuals in mainland Europe will have access to the latest instalments from 9am their local time.

Who is back in Lucifer season 5 part 2?

The second part of the season will also see more of God, aka Lucifer’s father (Dennis Haysbert), who showed up at the end of the mid-season finale to break up a fight between Lucifer, Amenadiel and Michael.

In the synopsis for part two released by Netflix, it teases that ‘God himself comes to Earth’.

‘Secrets will be revealed, heroic sacrifices will be made, and the world will never be the same,’ it states. Ooh the suspense!
