Call of Duty Warzone: Raven Software’s Latest Update Nerfs the Cargo Truck Meta

Understanding the meta is crucial for success in any game. In a competitive scenario like Call of Duty Warzone, the need to play to the meta is only exaggerated. Recently, the meta in Warzone has revolved around using ‘cargo trucks’.

These are essentially massive armored trucks that can take a boat-load of damage. Thus, players now opt to stay in one of these trucks all game and run over their opponents when they can. The fact that there are 16-20 cargo trucks that spawn every game makes it so that most teams have access to these vehicles.

As a result, the first-person shooter devolves into some kind of demolition derby. Furthermore, most of these trucks make their way to the final circle as players are afraid to engage and waste ammunition taking them out.

Bug fixes, weapon changes, and more coming to Warzone

In their latest blog post, Raven Software revealed that they have reduced the spawns of cargo trucks in solo games to a static number of five. Furthermore, Raven has fixed a host of prevalent bugs in the game.

Some of the bugs fixed include:

  • Fixed additional map locations in Verdansk that allowed players to reach out-of-bounds areas.
  •  Additional collision issues with various elements across Verdansk allowing players to exploit/peek/shoot through them were fixed.
  • Fixed a bug where vehicles could down or kill squad mates.
  • Fixed an issue in Nakatomi Plaza where the vault access denied audio could be heard throughout the entire building.
    • Because we can’t trust you to realize that once access has been denied, you should walk away from the button and not try again… and over again… and over again.
  •  A bug preventing the Ballistic Knife Camouflage skins from unlocking upon completing their respective requirements was fixed.
  • Fixed a bug where the Swat 5mw Laser Sight for Sniper Rifles was not displaying Aiming Stability as a pro.
  • Fixed the incorrect labeling of Sniper Rifle Echo as Sniper Rifle Delta.

Lastly, the update mentions some of the changes made to existing weapons. The CR-56 and FARA 83 assault rifles have been subject to changes in recoil and spray patterns. Additionally, other sniper rifles and tactical assault rifles have also been amended with the update.
