Friends fans have been left stunned by an unexpected appearance from Noel Fielding in the beloved series.

With the release of Friends: The Reunion, many have been getting a nostalgia fix by revisiting the series and have only just noticed Monica’s unique poster, which hung in the iconic apartment for 10 years.

The poster features a picture of Maïna La Voyante, also known as Maïna the Clairvoyant – who happens to bear quite the resemblance to comic Noel.

We never thought we’d get a Mighty Boosh and Friends crossover, but we’re definitely not mad about it.

One eagle-eyed fan pointed out on Twitter: ‘All those hours watching Friends and never once noticed the poster of Noel Fielding next to the door.’

‘Why did the Friends set have a picture of Noel Fielding on the wall?’ another asked, while one more said: ‘Love Noel fielding photo bombing the friends reunion.’

The poster even appears in the pilot (Picture: Netflix)

It’s actually been there since the pilot in 1994, with Chandler (Matthew Perry) walking past the poster to open the door, but to many, this is BRAND NEW INFORMATION.

Friends ran for 10 years, from 1994 to 2004, and starred the likes of Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay) and Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani).

Following the huge success of the sitcom, the stars reunited for the reunion, which aired this week and saw them spill plenty of set secrets – including that the chemistry between Jennifer and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) was real.

‘The first season I had a major crush on Jen and at some point we were both crushing on each other,’ explained David. ‘But it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We always respected that.’

Jennifer jumped in and confirmed: ‘I remember saying to David, “it’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually is going to be on national television.” Sure enough first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.

‘But we just channelled all our love and adoration for each other into Ross and Rachel.’

Meanwhile, Noel made his name alongside Julian Barratt in The Mighty Boosh. Most recently, he has presented the Great British Bake Off alongside Matt Lucas.
