“My Favourite Number Two” – Roman Reigns Reveals His Opinion About Former WWE Champion

Roman Reigns, The Universal Champion, has earned the right to boast about himself. He has proven his worth as a Superstar at every turn of his run with WWE. Whether it was him becoming heel, or crushing his own cousin, or executing the legendary double pin at WrestleMania 37, he has been amazing.

Considering the place he has created for himself at the company, it’s obvious he believes there is nobody above him at WWE at the pro-wrestler level. Therefore, during his interview with Gaelyn Mendonca, the topic of Drew McIntyre came up. Gaelyn Mendonca wanted to know how he felt about being paired up with Indus Sher, as McIntyre did during the WWE Superstar Spectacle.

Roman Reigns believes that if the boys work hard, they can team up with Reigns in the future. However, for now, its suitable for them to continue working with ‘The Scottish Warrior’, the one he considers his number two.

“Let’s not confuse this now. Drew McIntyre is my favourite number two… I’ve said it before. Drew knows it, we all know it. He is my favourite number two. But we are talking about Roman Reigns.”

‘The Tribal Chief’ pointed out that to share the room with him, all young talent need to work their way up the roster, and definitely go through the Superstars below him on the roster.

The last match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre

The Universal Champion wrestled the former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at Survivor Series 2020. This was their last appearance together in the ring. They haven’t had the chance to rekindle their feud since then.

Roman Reigns defeated McIntyre in that match, but ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ definitely proved himself after dominating the match for quite a while.

Undoubtedly, the WWE Universe wants to witness ‘The Tribal Chief’ and ‘The Scottish Man’ in the ring once again. The last time, during Survivor Series 2020, they had little time to build up to it. It’s possible the next time the company books them against each other, the build will be as brilliant as the main match.

Coming to their current WWE status, The Universal Champion was in a storyline with Cesaro, but he defeated him at WrestleMania Backlash.

Drew McIntyre, who lost the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber, has been trying desperately to get it back. As of now, he hasn’t been able to revive his former glory.
