Paige VanZant Gears Up to Fight Rachael Ostovich at BKFC 19

Paige VanZant and Rachael Ostovich will have a second battle. The fight will take place in a fresh setting and promotion from their first fight. ‘PVZ’ will welcome Rachael Ostovich to the BKFC at BKFC 19. Rachael Ostovich (4-6), who lost her last three UFC fights, failed to make an impact inside the octagon.

After an unsuccessful run in the UFC, she finally left the company and joined Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, where she will hope to end her professional fighting skid.

Similarly, Paige VanZant, who fell on a decline, managed two wins in her last six fights in the UFC. VanZant made her BKFC debut against Britain Hart from Bedford, Virginia in February 2021.

Although ‘12 Gauge’ lost her debut by a unanimous decision, she looked strong in the final rounds. Paige VanZant will hope to get her first bare-knuckle win against Ostovich.

Both the females had already faced each other back in 2019 at UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs Dillashaw.

ROUND 1: ‘12 Gauge’ stared strongly by throwing plus mixing head and leg kicks at her opponent. Both engaged in a clinch where Ostovich took her opponent down. The fight went on the ground for a minute until the referee ordered them back to their feet because of the inactivity on the ground.

Ostovich connected with a beautiful right hand and landed another takedown. Rachael Ostovich won the round and looked impressive with her approach.

Round 2: In the second round, both fighters looked more calculated. The duo exchanged punches and kicks in the middle of the octagon. When Ostovich landed yet another takedown, ’12 Gauge’ turned the tide and locked her in an armbar. The armbar proved to be the climax of the fight as Ostovich finally tapped and lost the contest.

The rematch looks exciting as the duo will compete a stand-up fight where takedowns and kicks are illegal.
