REPORTS: WWE Makes Huge Changes to SummerSlam 2021

WWE’s Biggest Party of the Summer is just three months away! And this time, the party will won’t just be the biggest, but it’ll also be the grandest as fans return to arenas in increased capacity since WrestleMania 37. However, amid all the grandeur there is one little change we might see this year.

Last week, WWE announced their return to live shows with real crowd in attendance! It was also reported that this year’s Summerslam would take place in the state of Nevada.

WWE Summerslam 2021 could possibly happen on a Saturday for the first-time ever!

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast revealed WWE is planning to have SummerSlam on a Saturday this year. As per an update from Wrestlevotes, the Saturday date for WWE SummerSlam is just provisional.

The reason for this change is Manny Pacquiao’s upcoming fight against Errol Spence Jr. Rumors suggest the bout will happen on Sunday, 22nd August, at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is also the rumored location for SummerSlam.

If WWE does move the date, then it would be the first-time in SummerSlam’s 34-year-history when it will be live on PPV on a Saturday! Honestly, it doesn’t make a huge difference as a fan, but it does mean doing a lot of things differently if the dates move. Either way, we know Summerslam will be a hit no matter which day it is.

We will keep you updated as the final date of WWE SummerSlam is decided. We’re sure it will be the biggest party of the summer. Why? Well, because WWE is set to put their best foot forward.
