WWE SummerSlam 2021: Date, location, tickets and more for huge show
WWE has officially announced this year’s SummerSlam event.
The company has revealed more tour dates as it prepares to welcome back live crowds from June 16, with Money In The Bank set to be the first pay-per-view with a non-virtual audience since Elimination Chamber 2020.
Now, WWE has confirmed SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 21 – which is departure from its traditional Sunday night slot.
With the date all set, fans are waiting to find out exactly where the annual extravaganza will take place, particularly after last year’s event was primed for Boston before the pandemic changed the company’s plans.
We won’t have to wait long though, as WWE has set out a timeframe for the big reveal details for ticket sales.

As we said, this year’s extravaganza is taking place on August 21, which is a Saturday rather than WWE’s traditional Sunday night pay-per-view.
It’s not clear exactly why the decision has been made, but we’re sure all will become clear.

In today’s announcement, the company said: ‘The venue will be revealed during the 2021 Belmont Stakes’ pre-race show on NBC next Saturday, June 5.’

After the host city announcement is made next weekend, WWE will put tickets on sale a couple of weeks later.
They’ll go on sale on Friday, June 18 – which will leave a couple of months for people to figure out their plans if they’re lucky enough to get a ticket.
For everyone else, US viewers will be able to tune in on Peacock, while all other fans can use the WWE Network.

It’s far too soon to tell – but there have been plenty of rumours already doing the rounds suggesting John Cena could be poised for a comeback.
The former world champion had to miss WrestleMania 37 last month due to his Hollywood schedule, so a return in August isn’t out of the question.
