Along with the video, Weidman wrote, “I’m walking on my own! Big day baby!! Thanks for all the love and support. Inspired by you all!”

In the video, we can see Weidman in high spirits and he even says, “Let’s go for a walk.” This post comes as great news for Weidman’s fans as the fighter seems to be recovering quite well.

Weidman is undergoing physical therapy after he had to go through surgery on his right leg. Weidman had posted his entire journey since getting his surgery done. In the video, Weidman can be seen going from the hospital to his home and then talking about his future.

Weidman talked about how he is going to miss the things he used to do with his children. The fighter got emotional when talking about the future and how he would miss out on many things for a long time. However, in the latest video, Weidman seems relatively happier and able to walk, which is great news for all his fans around the world.

What next for Chris Weidman?

Before his fight with Uriah Hall at UFC 261, Weidman had defeated Omari Akhmedov at UFC Fight Night 174 via unanimous decision. Weidman is currently No.12 in the UFC middleweight rankings and was looking to increase his rankings and get in contention for a title shot.

However, since the injury, there has been much speculation about Weidman’s future. Many believe that this injury and the fact that Weidman has lost 6 out of his previous 8 UFC fights means he should retire.

We do not know whether we will see Weidman back inside the Octagon. Although for now, one must hope for Weidman’s quick recovery and improved health.
