Brian Ortega Slams ‘B**ch’ Colby Covington for his Recent Comments

UFC featherweight Brian Ortega had warring words for Colby Covington after the former interim welterweight champion fired shots first. ‘T-City’ took to Twitter and responded to certain disparaging comments made by Covington recently when he sat down with James Lynch. Chiefly, ‘Chaos’ Covington berated Ortega and Volkanovski by calling into question their competency as coaches on ‘The Ultimate Fighter.

Per Colby Covington, the aforementioned featherweights were simply not big enough at the box office to make them viable coaching candidates.

“Those guys, yeah, they’re decent fighters – but for the little-weights, the little midgets, they don’t sell. There’s no controversy. There’s no drama. There is no nothing. There’s no storyline. I feel bad for the show. I wish I could’ve come back to the show and give the people what they want. ”

However, Brian Ortega wasn’t having it decided to let ‘bi**h’ Colby Covington know the error of his ways. The number one contender at featherweight criticized Covington for letting the opportunity to coach TUF against Jorge Masvidal slip away from him.

‘The Ultimate Fighter’ 29: Back with a bang

Despite Colby Covington’s reservations, the show, which begins filming on June 1 has successfully captured everyone’s attention. While things aren’t contentious between Volkanovski and Ortega, there’s definitely some heat heading into their fight. They’ve both shared their views on each other at various points and it’s safe to say they don’t see eye to eye.

Furthermore, UFC President Dana White recently let it slip at a post-fight presser that things got somewhat tense between both men. White explained that he had to intervene and get things back on track at one point. Fans of the show and reality shows in general will be pleased to know that the entertainment factor is still in play.

The final showdown itself between Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega for the featherweight strap is set to be fireworks. Stylistically, the bout is extremely compelling and could go down as one of the most technical wars of all time. Their toughness inside the cage is the only thing that rivals the technical prowess each man has displayed.
