Hey there Upper East Siders, do we have news for you! The trailer for the Gossip Girl reboot is finally here, and we can’t wait for the series to premiere.

Yep, the reboot is just weeks away and we’re finally starting to learn more about the characters who will be replacing the likes of Dan Humphrey, Blair Waldorf, and Serena van der Woodsen as our new obsessions.

Coming to HBO Max in July, the series is very much within the same universe that saw (spoiler alert) Dan unmasked as the iconic blogger Gossip Girl.

In fact, things pick off eight years after that controversial reveal as we get to meet an even more tech-savvy gang of privileged Constance Billard and St Jude’s students.

Hearing Kristen Bell’s voice narrating and that classic Gossip Girl theme tune in the trailer has taken us right back to 2007. And we’re so excited.

‘You’ve gotten so comfortable. Thinking you’re in control, of your image, your actions, the narrative, that you forgot one thing. I can see you,’ Kristen can be heard saying in the trailer.

‘And before I’m through, I’ll make sure you see you too. XOXO.’

In the clip, we are introduced to all of the new cast members and in true Gossip Girl style, they all receive a message that has them looking around in horror.

We have missed the glitz, glam and intrigue this series always brings!

According to the official description of the reboot, viewers will see how much social media and New York has changed through the eyes of private schoolers.

New cast members include Emily Alyn Lind as Audrey Hope, Thomas Doherty as Max Wolfe, Tavi Gevinson as Kate Keller, Eli Brown as Obie Bergmann IV, and Whitney Peak as Zoya Lott.

Jordan Alexander plays Julien Calloway, Zión Morena as Luna La and Savannah Smith plays Monet de Haan.

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage – the creators behind the original series – are also back as executive producers.

Gossip Girl premieres July 8 on HBO Max. A UK release date and platform has yet to be announced.
