Kendrick Perkins, Draymond Green, and Other NBA Players React to Clippers’ Statement Victory Over Mavericks

The American Airlines Center couldn’t have asked for a better beginning and a worse ending to the night from their magical men. The Mavericks started their third game against the Clippers with an 11-0 lead with Luka Doncic scoring from right, left, and center. Fadeaways, Jumpers, threes, the star point guard scored 11 of the first 14 points while the Clippers took seven minutes to match Luka’s figures.

For the Clippers, Ivica Zubac and Nicolas Batum started rusty as they lost many possessions on which the Mavs cooked. But later, just as Kawhi Leonard took the defensive charge, Paul George started scoring as expected to give the Clippers some breathing space. As a result, the Clips soon picked the heat and closed the game with a 118-108 win.

Kawhi Leonard forced ignition into his machine a little late, but there was no stopping him once he did that. The Claw made the best use of his gigantic hands as he made a couple of big blocks and managed a steal. The 2x champion utilized his pressure-game experience and dropped 13/17 field goals to rip apart the Mavericks. Paul George played the Robin in the game and added 29 points at 61.1% efficiency to help the case. They marked an electrifying comeback win and with that, won many Twitter reactions.

From Kendrick Perkins questioning the ability of Kristaps Porzingis to Draymond Green reacting on foul calls, the reactions summarized the night. Take a look –

What forced the Mavericks to lose control over the game?

Earlier, it felt as if Mark Cuban’s men held some cheat code to bury the Clips in the beginning. As the game started, in a blink of an eye, the Mavs were 7/10 from the three-point range. It appeared as if the Mavericks will again show that December 27 show where they enjoyed a 50-point lead over the Clippers until halftime. However, Tyronn Lue’s side did not allow one such domination on Friday night and made a crazy comeback.

Bouncing back from 11-30, the Clippers stunned the Mavs by making it an outstanding 31-32 in a crazy show of turnaround. The chemistry between PG and The Claw saved the Clips and further silenced the roaring Dallas audience. From then on, they took a lead that they didn’t give away throughout the game. Playoff Rondo enjoyed a +22 in +/- and his impact with playmaking very much pulled the Clips nation back into the game.
