WATCH: Kimi Raikkonen Lives Up to his Iceman Nickname

It is no secret among Formula One fans that Kimi Raikkonen is known as the Iceman. He is also famous for his love of ice cream, and many jokes have arisen from it.

In a recent Instagram story, the veteran F1 driver posted a picture of an ice-cream van. He captioned it, “You came to the right place Ice cream van”.

The picture also featured his children, Robin and Rianna, along with Raikkonen’s wife Minttu. Needless to say, the two children had a good time enjoying their ice-cold treats.

Meanwhile, the 2007 F1 world champion will spend some more downtime with his family before he makes the trip to Baku for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

On a more serious note, the Alfa Romeo driver is determined to perform well for his team. He is aware that the car is capable of grabbing a midfield finish, a couple of points at best. However, that will not stop him or teammate Antonio Giovinazzi from striving for more.

What can Kimi Raikkonen expect in Azerbaijan?

Admittedly, the Alfa Romeo team is far from being a real midfield contender. However, Raikkonen is the kind of driver who can drag the car to places where it should not be.

Additionally, some of that seems to be rubbing off on his teammate Antonio Giovinazzi. The Italian-Swiss outfit currently sits 8th in the championship standings, ahead of Williams and Haas F1.

It is worth mentioning that Raikkonen boasts of a decent record at the Baku City Circuit. However, the logical explanation for that is that he was in a faster car, namely a Ferrari as compared to an Alfa Romeo.

Speaking of Alfa Romeo, the outfit has had fairly mixed results at the street circuit. On the bright side, they have notched up a couple of points finishes.
