WATCH: Sebastian Vettel Hilariously Forgets About Red Bull During F1 Challenge

Red Bull Racing are the ones who managed to glorify the racing talent that was hiding in Sebastian Vettel, back in 2010. The German clung onto a title spree over the subsequent 4 years, ending the winless drought for the Milton Keynes outfit.

With such an incredible phase with Red Bull in the backdrop, how awkward would it be for Vettel to forget the team itself? Well, he did.

What did Sebastian Vettel say?

During the latest episode of F1’s Grill the Grid, the task that the F1 drivers held in hand were to name an F1 team for every letter of the alphabet. And unsurprisingly, Vettel was doing incredibly well, considering his interest in F1 runs early into the 80s and the 90s era.

However, when the letter ‘R’ arrived, the German shockingly stalled, and despite taking enough time, Vettel couldn’t give an answer.

Eventually, the interviewer questioned Vettel with a chuckle, “If I said Red Bull to you?”

As a matter of fact, Vettel did not just forget his team, but also the outfit that had been supplying their engines through his days with Red Bull– Renault.

As expected, Vettel was quite perplexed as he reacted, “Oh no! Oh Renault, oh no.”

Nevertheless, Vettel performed well enough in the test to top the leaderboard with 14 points in the bag. Alongside him was his fellow German, Mick Schumacher, not far off, with 12 points.

Can Vettel excel at Baku after a strong Monaco show?

The 4-time world champion used his immense experience and Aston Martin’s smart strategical play to secure an impressive P5 in Monaco. What’s more, this was only his second top 5 finish since last season’s Turkish Grand Prix.

Hence, with yet another street race coming up, can Vettel extend his success into Baku? Well, although Baku was a strong suit for both Force India and Racing Point, one can’t say the same for Aston Martin as well.

The British outfit have looked far from competitive against their rivals. And the rake angle disadvantage is only going to leave them struggling to secure a top 10 finish. What’s more, Aston Martin haven’t looked fast on straights either.

Hence, with Baku possessing the longest straight in F1, Vettel might need something extra-special to fend off any kind of threats from Alpine, AlphaTauri, McLaren, and Ferrari. So, with Vettel’s prospects of securing a strong finish at Baku significantly low, can the German pull off a miracle?
