Jimmy and Jey Uso were reunited on SmackDown this week as the twins reminded everyone why they’re one of the best tag teams in WWE history.

The duo haven’t stood side by side in a match since facing The New Day – who else? – in March 2020, and they hadn’t missed a step as they took on the Street Profits in something of a dream contest last night.

Backstage, Jimmy told Roman Reigns that they will end up winning the tag team titles held by Rey and Dominik Mysterio and put the gold next to the Universal Championship.

The Tribal Chief said he was happy for his cousin, but once he left he asked if Jey if he’d let his brother talk for him, and he promised he was in line with the Head of the Table.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins delivered a good promo in the ring adding more hype to a first-time match everyone was already desperate to see.

Thankfully, it more than met expectations as the two exciting tandems delivered an absolutely fantastic bout.

Even down to Jimmy coming out in his Usos gear and his brother sticking to his Right Hand Man t-shirt, this was done brilliantly.

They had plenty of time to work with and some great stand-out moments, including Ford leaping over Jimmy in the corner and onto Jey outside.
In the end, Jimmy scored the win for his team.

Later on, Adam Pearce agreed to his request that the Usos should get a tag team title match next week, which disappointed Roman.

He asked Jey why he’d want that when the chief knows what’s best for him, and insisted he doesn’t want fans to ask ‘which one’s which’ again.

Fast forward to the main event, Rey Mysterio was attacked backstage moments before and couldn’t compete, leaving his son Dominik to battle the Dirty Dawgs on his own with the gold on the line.

It was a solid enough match without too much drama, ending when Rey came back out, causing a distraction as his boy picked up the win.

This brought out the Usos to talk trash to their opponents next week, with Roman shown backstage clearly seething.

Seth Rollins blasts Cesaro, Commander Azeez screws Kevin Owens and Rick Boogs does his thing

The second match of the night was a largely routine with for Natalya and Tamina as they defeated the Riott Squad in non-title action.

The Women’s Tag Team Champions looked strong here as the bout served its purpose, although it’s disappointing to see Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott sacrificed like this.

Carmella insisted Bianca Belair cheated to beat Bayley at WrestleMania Backlash before taking the fight to the EST of WWE, with Bayley joining Michael Cole and Pat McAfee on commentary.

Belair got the win with the KOD, with the Role Model shrieking saying she ‘ain’t nothing’.

The Drip King himself Seth Rollins made an appearance on his 35th birthday in yet another sharp suit as he addressed Cesaro and the fans.

Although it started amusingly enough with fake audio from the Swiss Superman’s hospital bed, things took a sinister turn.

Rollins – who has been at his delusional best in his storyline – blamed the fans and Cesaro himself for the brutal attack last week, and claimed his hands were clean.

After a typically brilliant promo, Seth sang happy birthday to himself in a nice touch.

Kevin Owens battled Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews in what was technically a non-title match but was far too short to earn that label.

What we did see was strong, with KO looking like he’d picked up a quick win with a Stunner, only for Commander Azeez to break up the pin as he hit the Nigerian Nail.

Owens was struggling to talk, but he did manage to get Pearce to set up an IC Title match next week with Azeez banned from ringside.

Elsewhere, Rick Boogs played Shinsuke Nakamura’s entrance theme again as he made his way to the ring to face Chad Gable, who had Otis at ringside.

It was a fun match with the King of Strong Style winning with the Kinshasa, before Corbin appeared and put down his rival as he claimed the clown again.

However, Boogs attacked the king and helped Nakamura get back the crown.
