‘Getting Hella Ugly’ Fans React to New York Knicks Going Down 3–1 After Embarrassing Loss Against the Hawks
The New York Knicks faced the Atlanta Hawks tonight for the fourth game of their ongoing first-round matchup. Playing at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, the Knicks were hoping that their team can put on a show against the Hawks.
After a hard-fought victory over the Hawks in Game 2, the Knicks expected to build on their win heading into Game 3. But the Hawks came back with a resounding victory in Game 3 with a comfortable 105-94 victory.
With the Hawks already with a 2-1 lead in the series, the Knicks had to win this game if they wanted to tie the series.
Atlanta Hawks blow out the New York Knicks
Given how high the stakes were, the Knicks knew they had to make a good start to the game. The fourth-seeded Knicks did the same as they went blow for blow against the Hawks and led by a single point at the end of the first quarter.
But things started to change in the second quarter as the Hawks outscored the Knicks by 28-23. With a scoreline of 53-49, the Knicks were pretty much in the game trailing by a measly 4 points.
But the Trae Young-led side got going in the third quarter as the Hawks took a resounding 17 point lead. With shots not falling for the Knicks, the Tom Thibodeau side ultimately were blown out by the Suns 113-96.
The Knickerbockers’ offensive struggles continued against the Hawks. Despite having a great regular season, Julius Randle has had a dreadful series so far. While 23 points look good on paper, his efficiency on the floor was horrendous shooting only 7 of 19 attempted shots.
Apart from Randle’s awful shooting, the offensive system is too stagnant for the Knicks right now with their talisman Randle attempting multiple isolation plays leading to more contested shots.
While their regular season was encouraging, the Playoffs are certainly showing the weaknesses of this Knicks side right now.

Knicks fans certainly were not the biggest fans about their team’s latest loss especially given that it was a 17 point blowout.
