“I Never Was Hurt” – Devin Haney Reacts to Being Hit in Round 10 by Jorge Linares
Devin Haney could retain his WBC lightweight belt and the unbeaten record against Jorge Linares, but it was never an undemanding task for him. Linares had put a crack on his game and troubled ‘The Dream’ for a brief period.
While their in-ring battle reached the last round, both men had their moments. Linares had a major one as he could wobble Devin Haney. After being dominated throughout round 10, Linares returned the favor with action. In the dying moments of the tenth round, Linares landed brutal shots on Haney.

Devin Haney said, “It was a good shot, I was never hurt … I am going in there, I’ma box smart. He hit me with a good shot, but I never was hurt. But I still continued to box smart.”
He continued, “Sometimes when you get hit with a good shot, I wasn’t hurt, but you still gotta be smart in there and that was a game plan.”
