Jesy Nelson took some down time away from working on her solo music to get some deserved rest and relaxation on a beach.

The singer, 29, has signed to Polydor to release new music after quitting girl group Little Mix in 2020.

Jesy has shared snippets of what she has been up to in the studio so far, but decided to put the work on hold for a day of chilling out in the sunshine at the weekend.

She posted a photo on Instagram of herself posing on some rocks looking incredible in a white bikini.

The Sweet Melody singer casually played with her hair as her curls fell across one eye and around her shoulders.

Not giving away her exotic location, she simply added three sun emoji in the picture caption.

It came after Jesy described her Polydor deal as a ‘pinch me’ moment as she prepares to continue her music career without former bandmates Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, who are staying together as Little Mix.

Sharing a picture of herself crouching in front of the Polydor logo, Jesy wrote on Instagram: ‘So excited to announce that I’ve signed my first ever solo record deal with @polydorrecords @universalmusicgroup.

‘This is such a pinch me moment. I cannot wait for you guys to hear what I’ve been working on.’

The star said she decided to walk away from Little Mix, which she had been a part of for nine years, as she struggled to deal with the pressure of being in a girl group and wanted to focus on her mental health.

‘I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy. I’m ready to embark on a new chapter in my life – I’m not sure what its going to look like right now, but I hope you’ll still be there to support me,’ she said in a statement at the time.

Leigh-Anne and Perrie – who are both pregnant – and Jade meanwhile enjoyed a big win at the Brit awards this month as they became the first girl band ever to win best group.
