The Masked Dancer continues tonight as another set of weird and wonderful characters take to the stage for judges Oti Mabuse (replacing judge Rita Ora) Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross.

It is based on the format of The Masked Singer which turned out to be an unexpected hit when it aired last year. That series saw the likes of Sophie Ellis Bextor, Nicola Roberts, Jason Manford and Mel B take part.

With host Joel Dommett watching on, a new group of celebrity dancers will put on a show as the panel – and viewers – excitedly try and guess which celebrity is hiding inside which character.

The Masked Dancer has signed up three special guest judges: Britain’s Got Talent star David Walliams, This Morning host Holly Willoughby and comedian John Bishop.

In Saturday night’s launch episode we got to meet Zip, Knickerbocker Glory, Beetroot, Llama, Viper and Scarecrow.

There was a shocking first exit as Diversity star Jordan Banjo – that’s professional dancer Jordan Banjo – was unmasked as Viper and ultimately sent home.

Who left The Masked Dancer last night?

Dancer Jordan Banjo said he had had a blast being a part of the ‘chaotic’ series and fully embraced it for the good time it is.

Asked what his thoughts on the panel were, Jordan, 28, explained: ‘I love the panel, I love that it’s not treated like some super serious dance show but as a fun, feel good guessing game.’

He added of being the first to leave: ‘Of course, part of me was gutted but also relieved!’

The Masked Dancer continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
