WWE Fires Back at AEW, Trolls Top Superstar Dr. Britt Baker
AEW has been taking very open shots at WWE over the months and the latter has not been actively responding apart from the shenanigans of T-Bar on Twitter. However, it seems as if things are on the verge of change.
Hours before the Friday Night episode of Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan took a massive shot at WWE and its President Nick Khan. He went on a daring foot and called the executive a ‘Khan-Man’ and stated that there was only room for one Khan in professional Wrestling.
WWE did not relate in any way but seems to have made a statement of its own. In a recent post on Instagram, the company posted a video of Superstar Nia Jax decimating none other than Britt Baker.
Before joining AEW, Britt Baker was an independent wrestler, making several appearances in promotions. In this particular instance, she made a one-off appearance to face Nia Jax in what wrestling fans would call a ‘squash’ match. In simpler terms, she was booked to be run over by Jax as a stepping stone for the latter’s push.
Now, she is one of AEW’s biggest stars and is all set to become the new face of its Women’s Division if she beats Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s Championship at Double or Nothing. WWE made a huge statement by posting this video, and the message was put across without words spoken.

Tony Khan launched an all-out attack on WWE before AEW Dynamite
Tony Khan went out of his way to call WWE President Nick Khan out, following reports by Dave Meltzer on a WWE-NJPW crossover talk. AEW, which has been boasting about its crossovers and the Forbidden Door angle, did not take this lightly and made sure WWE knew who the front runner was when it comes to NJPW.
Ahead of tonight’s Live #AEWDynamite at 10pm ET/9pm CT, and #AEWDoN on ppv Sunday, AEW Owner/President @TonyKhan, aka the Forbidden Door, addressed rumors of a relationship between @WWE & @njpwglobal, + what this means to @AEW! Although AEW may have hosted Kenta vs Jon Moxley for the IWGP United States Championship and may be further along the line in terms of talks, we may just see New Japan go with WWE. The hints are lying across the table and signs point towards it actually happening.
NJPW star Kazuchika Okada followed Drew McIntyre on Twitter and the latter made that known to the WWE Universe. The war between AEW and WWE rages on, with both promotions bound to lock heads sometime in the near future.
