Ben Foden has revealed that he’s in a much better place with ex-wife Una Healy following their messy and highly-publicised split.

The Rugby United New York player split from The Saturdays singer in 2018 after six years of marriage. They share children Aoife, nine, and Tadhg, six.

Ben, 35, later admitted to cheating on Una, 39, during their marriage and he went on to marry second wife, Jackie Belanoff in 2019.

Sharing an insight into his relationship with his former spouse now, Ben told OK! Magazine: ‘Yeah, Una and I have come a long way since our divorce. Our main priority is raising two healthy and loved children. Una’s always been a great mum.’

Ben and Jackie welcomed their first child together, daughter Farrah, in May 2020 and just celebrated her first birthday. The couple live in the US where Jackie is from and where Ben plays rugby, while his elder children Aoife and Tadhg primarily live in Ireland with Una.

Jackie said of their blended family: ‘Whenever they are on the phone [Farrah] comes running.

‘We’re looking forward to having them all summer again. When they’re in school they are with their mum in Ireland and in the holidays they are with us.’

Last September, Ben admitted to his faults in his and Una’s marriage during an Instagram live.

‘There were lots of elements to us [Una] falling apart, obviously my unfaithfulness is the reason why it eventually did split,’ he explained.

‘There’s so many aspects to a marriage, we’re not the first people to get divorced and I’m not the first person to cheat in a relationship.

‘I have to hold my hands up and say, it was wrong and I should have been a bigger man and walked away before any of that stuff happened.’

Ben and Jackie tied the knot hours after his decree absolute arrived in the post and he admitted that while it may be viewed as ‘disrespectful’, he ‘couldn’t help the heart’.

Farrah could be getting another sibling closer to home as Ben and Jackie are planning on having baby number two.
