Deontay Wilder says he wants to decapitate Tyson Fury in their trilogy

Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder was in the center of the drama in the heavyweight division. Since ‘The Bronze Bomber’ won his arbitration case against Tyson Fury, the undisputed title fight between Fury and Anthony Joshua fell through.

As a result, Wilder will now make his highly-awaited come back to the sport more than a year after the rematch. The pair will reportedly meet on July 24 in Las Vegas. And ahead of the big fight, the American has revealed his intentions for Fury.

The 42-1-1 boxer spoke to 78SPORTSTV on YouTube and revealed his mindset for the fight. “My mentality is [like] how you’ve been contemplating about hurting a person so bad, to the point you wanna disfigure him so his mother wouldn’t even know who he was, if she passed by him, you know.”

Thus, this comment from Wilder showed how personal the fight would be. He then added, “And when you’ve been having your mind set on this one person and how you wanna decapitate him in every f***ing way possible, it’s like premeditated stuff.”

Why is Deontay Wilder so eager to destroy Tyson Fury?

The comments from the former heavyweight champion of the world showed how much it means to him that he knocks Fury out. Moreover, it showed that there is no love lost between the two. So why has the trilogy bout got so emotional?

Wilder accused Fury and his team of being cowards and not honoring the rematch clause. The American then accused Fury of being a cheat and claimed ‘The Gypsy King’ tampered with his gloves before the bout.

Fury, however, has taken every chance to mock Wilder. He constantly claims that he has every ounce of Wilder’s dignity, and Wilder will only get his ‘Mojo’ back if he can beat more. In addition, he regularly refers to the ‘beat down’ he gave Wilder and ridicules him. Therefore, it is no surprise Wilder wants to do the same.

However, with the ruling, Wilder has won one battle. Ultimately, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ was right in saying they had a rematch clause. Therefore, the third fight between the two could be the most exciting of the lot. And maybe Wilder can use all the talk as motivation to beat Fury.

What do you make of these comments from Deontay Wilder? Do you think he will knockout Fury as he says?
