“I’m Pretty Tired”: Alize Cornet Compares Her Longevity on Tour With Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic
Tennis is a sport that persistently demands high-level performances from individuals to stay on top of their clans. It explains why Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Serena Williams make the greatest-tennis-players-of-all-time list. It is because they have remained in the elite group of players for nearly two decades.
For the same reason, they all have received tremendous admiration equally around the globe. Recently, French professional Alize Cornet reiterated the magnitude of their success.
Cornet explains why she admires Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Serena.
World No.65 Cornet participated in the French Open 2021; however, she lost in the first round 6-4, 6-4. Unquestionably, it is a hard pill for her to swallow as she lost on her home soil to World No.149 Harmony Tan.
After the match, the 31-year-old labeled fatigue as her principal reason for the upset. Notably, she competed in five tournaments, including Roland-Garros, in the last month.

Consequently, the tiredness made her realize the propensity of Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Williams on the tennis circuit. She said, “I’m pretty tired of the circuit, so I have a lot of admiration for what they do.”
What makes it inconceivable is that they continue to remain in the elite players’ group even today. Moreover, they all are contesting for the French Open 2021 title.
Moreover, Serena (23), Federer (20), Nadal (20), and Djokovic (18) have 81 Grand Slam titles combined. Also, they have all spent more than 200 weeks as the World’s number one player.
Remarkably, they are still hungry for more titles and are pacing to break records. And tennis fans never want to see them leaving the sport.
Who will Rafael Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, and Serena play first at French Open 2021?
All of them are yet to begin their campaign at Roland-Garros 2021. By playing the revered Grand Slam’s first evening session, the 39-year-old Serena Williams will make history in her opening match against Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu.
On the other side, the tension is almost palpable as the Fed-Rafa-Djoko trio is in the same half of the draw. Hence, they will meet one another before the final.
The Swiss maestro will begin first against Uzbek professional Denis Istomin. Following that, Djokovic will take on American Tennys Sandgren, and Nadal will play against Australian Alexei Popyrin.
Clearly, the French Open 2021 has only begun, and the most prominent players are still to contribute. Hopefully, they will not only make Roland-Garros a success but all the tournaments for many coming years.
