Teen Mom Jenelle Evans sues blogger John Yates for claiming she was ‘fired’ from podcast

Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans is suing blogger Johnny Yates after he claimed she was fired from a podcast that included 90 Day star Deavan Clegg.

In a federal complaint obtained by The Sun, Jenelle claimed that “defendant Yates called Deavan Clegg” and told her that that the former MTV star was let go from the Girl S#!t Podcast.

According to the suit, Deavan told John that she was unaware of Jenelle’s past.

John allegedly told her it was brought up with the podcast management team and that that was enough for Jenelle to be fired.

However, Jenelle says in the suit, that that was untrue and it “affected Plaintiff Eason and her business opportunities because Defendant Yates made a false statement about Plaintiff’s business and prospective business.”

John allegedly went live on YouTube and repeated claims that Jenelle was fired from the podcast and that other personalities did not want to work with her.

According to the complaint, he also read a statement from Deavan “about not supporting anything related to Plaintiff Eason and her husband David Eason due to their past and she would not work with Plaintiff Eason.”

Jenelle, along with other plaintiffs, are suing John and several other defendants for an amount in excess of $75,000 in the libel case.

The Teen Mom 2 star previously accused Deavan, 23, of “going behind her back”.

Discussing their initial friendship on her YouTube channel, Jenelle said: “I thought we were getting along pretty well because we stayed in an AirBnb together.”

During their stay, the MTV alum claimed they talked about the 2019 incident in which Jenelle’s husband David Eason shot her dog Nugget after the pet allegedly nipped their four-year-old daughter Ensley’s face.

They also allegedly talked about getting “hate” from fans and how David’s shooting led to Jenelle’s three kids being temporarily taken away by the CPS

David was fired from Teen Mom 2 in 2018 after launching a “homophobic” Twitter rant where he compared members of the LGBTQ+ community to dogs.

“She was completely aware of everything and completely aware of my YouTube series involving CPS,” Jenelle, 29, insisted.

“So for her to say she had no idea about me is false. She definitely knew.

“Besides all that, I guess she got mad for one reason or another and went behind my back and tried to have me let go.

“Was I officially let go? No. Am I producer in [the podcast]? Yes.”

The Teen Mom star announced in March that she was co-hosting and producing Girl S#! with a series of social media influencers.

But on the night of the launch party, Girl S#!t revealed Jenelle would not be attending due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

Jenelle’s absence from the launch party was also included in the complaint.

Deavan spoke to The Sun about Jenelle’s firing, claiming she had no idea about the TV personality’s controversial past.

The TLC star said: “I told the [podcast] owner I would not be involved in a project that is working with someone with these allegations. It’s everything I’m against.”
