Winner’s Purse: How Much Did Jason Kokrak Win at 2021 Charles Schwab Challenge?

The 2021 Charles Schwab Challenge witnessed a terrific ending on Sunday. Jordan Spieth received a tremendous reception from his hometown fans, but the Texas native could not close out and win the tournament. In the end, Jason Kokrak kept his calm and reigned supreme at the Colonial Country Club.

It was not a final round miracle that helped Jason Kokrak win the 2021 Charles Schwab Challenge. He was in contention right from Round 1, but Jordan Spieth was the heavy favorite owing to his string of successful displays at Fort Worth.

However, Spieth bogeyed the 15th and the 18th holes in the final round which caused his downfall. Kokrak committed similar errors, but he converted five birdies in Round 4, compared to Spieth’s two.

Champion’s payout for Jason Kokrak at 2021 Charles Schwab Challenge

The Charles Schwab Challenge is one of the oldest tournaments on the calendar and one of the most lucrative ones too. The champion is treated to a generous share of the prize money at this event, and Jason Kokrak took home a huge chunk of the $7,500,000 prize purse in 2021.

Jason Korark received a $1,350,000 payout at the 2021 Charles Schwab Challenge for his heroics over the weekend. Competing against the best in the world is never an easy task, but Kokrak pulled it off with absolute elegance.

The 36-year-old joined the PGA Tour in 2012 and had to wait eight years for his first victory, which came in October 2020 at The CJ Cup. However, Kokrak brought up his second win sooner than expected and this only raises his ceiling for what’s to come this season.

The win at Fort Worth has also helped Jason Kokrak gain significant strides in the FedExCup Standings. He was 27th last week but has now broken into the Top 5 after clinching his second title of the season.

Kokrak will be thrilled with the $1.35M champion’s payout at the Charles Schwab Challenge. It will only motivate him to strive for more, and he’s just the third player on the PGA Tour who’s won two titles this season. Can he win one more in 2021?
