Bake Off: The Professionals thrown into chaos as showstoppers fall apart and star left in tears
Bake Off: The Professionals was thrown into chaos as two of the showstoppers completely fell apart.
The pro bakers were challenged by judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden to create a ‘heroes and villains’ themed showstopper, with macarons incorporated.
The final bakes looked incredible, but things got dramatic when teammates Julian and Elise suffered a catastrophic moment, with their showstopper completely breaking off and macarons tumbling to the floor.
However, more chaos was still in store as contestants Sherrazade and Merryn had their bake fall apart right in front of the judges’ eyes.
Cherish, Benoit, and hosts Tom Allen and Liam Charles gasped and jumped back from their incredible showstopper as it crumbled.
To add insult to injury, Benoit then told the bakers: ‘I looked at it before it went down and i thought that it was missing a lot.’
Elsewhere in the episode, contestant Andrea was left in tears after facing the judges.
She and her teammate Jamie took a risk with their first challenge, when the contestants were challenged to create cubic bakes.

They took on a layered bake, but were then subjected to Cherish and her dreaded ruler, as she declared they weren’t quite the right measurements to be a cube.
Back at their bench, Andrea was left in tears as Jamie attempted to console her, with the baker turning away from the cameras to compose herself.
However, after their catastrophic moment, it was Sherrazade and Merryn, also known as Shez and Mez, who were eliminated.

The pair took it completely in their stride as they reflected: ‘Some you win, some you lose.’
Sherrazade and Merryn work alongside each other at artisan bakery The Bristol Loaf, where they whip up pastries, cakes and breads daily, fresh for their customers.
Sherrazade, the team captain, worked in a string of restaurants and hotels across France before heading to the UK three years ago to expand her knowledge, where she met pal and colleague Merryn – who turned her back on studying psychology for life in the kitchens.
After completing her training, she moved to the UK and spent eight years working as a pastry chef at the swanky Harvey Nichols, before joining forces with Sherrazade at The Bristol Loaf.
After their fantastic bakes on the show, it looks like they’re only on the up!
Bake Off: The Professionals airs Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.
