David Bowie’s widow Iman offers subtle tribute to late music icon with stunning selfie
Iman Abdulmajid offered a subtle tribute to late husband David Bowie as she shared a selfie with fans on Instagram.
The model, 65, took to her social media page to bless fans with a selfie, as she posed for the camera in a black outfit.
‘#SelfieSunday,’ she wrote alongside the post, which has nearly racked up 10,000 likes.
Followers couldn’t get enough of the snap, and praised her for wearing a necklace adorned with the Space Oddity singer’s name.
‘Love your necklace,’ one commented with a string of sparkling star emoji, as an Instagram user simply penned: ‘…David….’
‘Terrifically beautiful, and what a lovely necklace. Xx,’ another agreed.
As a fan added: ‘So pretty! Your necklace in memory to beloved David Bowie.’
Music legend David died in 2016, at the age of 69, following a battle with liver cancer.
The Labyrinth actor was married to the fashion icon at the time of his death, with the couple tying the knot in 1992 – and they shared daughter Alexandria ‘Lexi’ Zahra Jones together.
Iman recently opened up about grieving for him in a candid interview with Harper’s Bazaar, vowing she would never walk down the aisle again.
‘David is in our hearts and minds on a daily basis, for all of us,’ she told the publication. ‘You know, this was my true love. My daughter once asked me if I would ever marry again and I said, “Never.”
‘He’s hiding in plain sight. His fans are still around, his music is still relevant. And on the day of his passing, I went on a hike and a bluebird flew in front of me. A bluebird, above all things.’
Iman also described their relationship as an ‘everyday marriage’, adding that they had a ‘beautiful, ordinary life’ together.
