Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson looks more ripped than ever before for Black Adam and we’re not sure how this is even possible
Dwayne Johnson has shared the results of his recent fitness drive ahead of shirtless scenes for the movie Black Adam.
The wrestler and actor, 49, revealed a physique more ripped than ever before (no, we didn’t think that was possible either) as he shared a snap from his latest gym session.
In the photo, Dwayne – who also goes by The Rock – could be seen with bulging biceps as well as muscles we didn’t even know existed rippling on his thighs.
He told his followers: ‘Late night training. Big week for #BlackAdam shooting my “champion” scenes with my shirt off and showing my body.
‘Been working extremely hard dieting, training and conditioning unlike any other role of my entire career.’
Dwayne revealed how he managed to get so shredded that even his muscles have muscles, adding: ‘Manipulating water, sodium, cardio but also having to push and pull real iron to have dense, dry, detailed muscle.
‘It’s a real science that takes months and months to dial it all in with my strength & conditioning coach @daverienzi who keeps a very watchful eye, constantly fine tuning our strategy daily.
‘As many of you know, the intense (and exciting) comic mythology of Teth Adam – he becomes the immortal “champion” by the Gods.
‘Blessed with the powers of Superman and dangerous magic from the wizards. Then his rage turns his soul dark, forever becoming Black Adam. Big week, grateful for the grind & support – here we go.’
Dwayne will play the titular role in the upcoming DC film, which is due for release in July 2022 after originally being slated for December 2021 but had to be pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Black Adam is a spin-off from Shazam!, with the plot focusing on the film’s anti-hero and while the plot is being kept under wraps, joining him on the cast will be Pierce Brosnan, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge and Sarah Shahi.
