“I’m Trying to Figure Out What Is the Endgame” – Booker T Raises Questions About Tony Khan Taking Shots at WWE

There is competition in every industry. Therefore, it’s no surprise that WWE and AEW are competing in the wrestling industry. In fact, Tony Khan took a recent shot at WWE’s President Nick Khan. Now, Booker T isn’t sure this was something which was required, especially for AEW.

During his podcast, Booker T revealed that he doesn’t think there is an endgame for AEW here. Moreover, he thinks it was his company, he wouldn’t have commented on another company’s strategies or deals.

“Tony Khan cut a big promo on Nick Khan, that kind of stuff, to me, I don’t know, I’m trying to figure out how that works out for my company. Huge shots like that, me personally, I don’t get it. But maybe it’s something… the internet… I remember hearing him mention certain sites (websites) and whatnot. I’m just trying to figure out what is the end game for AEW, and me, personally, I’m not seeing it. I’m just trying to figure out where we’re going with the thing.”

It is possible Tony Khan cut a promo about WWE and NJPW planning to work together just for entertainment. However, this is not an usual promo since he’s taken Nick Khan by name, and claimed the wrestling industry has place only for one Khan.

Of course, Tony Khan faced some backlash after cutting the promo. However, he came forward and revealed that he had spoken to New Japan Pro Wrestling about this promo, and they had agreed this was a great idea. He moved forward with it only after NJPW accepted it.

Booker T has previously raised questions about the works of Tony Khan

The WWE Hall of Famer had raised questions about the time when Kenny Omega fought IMPACT’s champion, and won. He believed that there is no way IMPACT can gain anything if their main title is with someone who is working for another company, i.e., AEW.

However, Tony Khan didn’t reveal exactly what was the logic behind this set up, but everyone believes since AEW has a working relationship with TNA, there was a story involved.

Currently, AEW is rising in the industry with new PPVs, shows, and signees.

The latest PPV, Double or Nothing 2021, marked the debut of Mark Henry and Lio Rush. Prior to that, AEW Blood and Guts was a huge success among wrestling fans.
