Jusuf Nurkic, Kendrick Perkins, & Others React to Wizards Fan Running on the Court

The NBA and along with it the entire world was waiting to see fans back inside the Arenas for more than a year. However, that hasn’t gone as per the expectations if the last one week is any substantial proof. In the latest incident of fan insanity, a Wizards fan came out running on the court in their game 4 against the Sixers.

Now, the league, which has left it to the franchises and the sports facility management to take action, might want to interfere sooner to this. The situation is evidently going out of hands with every other game witnessing one such nuisance.

When a Wizards fan stunned the on-court athletes

Eight minutes into the crucial third quarter, when the Wizards were leading the game 80-74, a fan decided to take the floor. The youngster came in sprinting and falling near the rim as a security guard tackled him before he could reach any of the players. Now, his intentions were unclear, but the crazy act of indecency definitely hindered the flow of the game.

Just as that happened, the entire NBA circle took to Twitter to condemn the breach of security. Take a look at how Jusuf Nurkic, Kendrick Perkins, Jamal Crawford, and others reacted strongly –

This isn’t just a small stupid act in the middle of a decisive playoff game. In fact, chances were that he could’ve harmed a player and it could’ve even led to a stoppage. Keeping this in mind, the league must put out strict measures that are bigger than just banning the mischievous fans from entering the arena.

A week full of maniac fandom

Be it the racial remarks on Ja Morant, a Knicks fan spitting on Hawks’ Trae Young, or a Celtics fan almost hitting Kyrie Irving with a water bottle, this week has been a blemish on the NBA fans. Plus, one must not forget the Russell Westbrook episode where a season ticket holder dropped popcorn over him and ran. Such acts have the potential to further aggravate the fans of opposing teams to seek similar revenge.

Just imagine if the NBA someday has to, unfortunately, deal with a Monica Seles sort of incident. Or what if the stands become a breeding ground for hooliganism in the near future? These are some dire and rather negative questions but the league must think of the worst and pose solutions.

Do you agree that such acts must never again repeat? Help us know your opinion in the comments.
