Roger Federer Way Ahead of Rafael Nadal in This Incredible Stat, Novak Djokovic Trailing at 4th
Roger Federer has had one of the most impeccable and long-running careers in tennis. Turned professional in 1998, the maestro has achieved numerous milestones, including lifting 20 Grand Slam titles.
Presently, the 39-year-old Swiss is in Paris, France, contesting at the French Open 2021. In the first-round match there, Federer took a mere 95 minutes to beat Denis Istomin in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, 6-3.
With this win, the Basel-born improved one of his most spectacular statistical achievements. Federer now has yet another match under his belt where he never offered a breakpoint to his opponent. Remarkably, there is no player ahead of the Swiss maestro in this feat.

The former World No.1 and 2003 US Open champion Andy Roddick makes the third position with 131 such wins. Chasing him is the 18-time Grand Slam champion and current World No.1 Novak Djokovic with 117 breakpoint-less wins.
Moreover, two more active players have made this list of legends; American ace-master John Isner at No.5 and former World No.3 Milos Raonic.
Unquestionably, a win without facing a breakpoint is the ultimate dominance over an opponent in tennis. It also proves that Federer has still got the very best in him.

Federer’s road ahead at Roland-Garros 2021
The 2009 champion confessed that he is not pushing for the French Open 2021 title. However, he is looking forward to playing competitive matches back to back to prepare him for his beloved tournament, Wimbledon.
Ahead, Federer will meet 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic in the second round. The duo last played the 2018 Australian Open final, where the maestro won his 20th major title. Federer also won his 19th Slam against Cilic at Wimbledon 2017.
Interestingly, Federer also has Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal in the same half of the draw. Thus, things are going to go uphill for the maestro in Paris. But given his balletic performance in the first round, he will be entertaining tennis fans for a longer duration at Roland-Garros.
