Stacey Solomon has shared her thoughts after a fan messaged her to say her home renovation was ‘cheap and tacky’.

The Loose Women star, 31, had given her followers a glimpse at her day yesterday as she made herself a large bottle of squash to enjoy in the sunshine.

Setting her drink down next to a chair, she told her followers: ‘Going to sit in the conservatory and catch up on everything I need to do for the week.’

As she panned the camera around the room, she added: ‘It’s getting there in here.’

Stacey had painted the conservatory light purple and showed off her unique touches, including small sprigs of fresh lavender in tiny vases mounted to the wall as well as a fake plant trailing from a shelf.

However, the pretty pastel room wasn’t to everyone’s taste as someone took it on themselves to message her to say that they didn’t like what she’d done with the place.

Stacey shared a screenshot of the message, which read: ‘That looks so cheap and tacky Stacey, stop with all the c**p.’

She responded: ‘Don’t hold back Wilma, tell me how you really feel! I love it, I love the purple and the fake flowers and the smudged paint. Do what makes you happy!’

Alongside the video, Stacey wrote: ‘Do what makes you happy! Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks! If you love it go for it…

‘Love ya Wilma, always bringing the happy vibes.’

Stacey has been documenting the process of renovating her new home – dubbed Pickle Cottage – which she shares with fiancé Joe Swash and her three sons.

The couple bought their dream pad and have been busy giving it their own special touch, including making over the pool in the garden to make it more child-friendly, and have bee sharing the process with their followers.

Thankfully, the response has mostly been positive, except for a few ‘Wilmas’…
