WWE superstar Sheamus has reportedly suffered a broken nose after his match with Humberto Carrillo on Raw.

The Celtic Warrior faced Ricochet and Carrillo back to back in non-title action on last night’s show, and the United States Champion got beaten in both.

During his match with Humberto, Sheamus got busted open after a stiff elbow shot and PWInsider has confirmed the incident left him with a broken nose.

While the Irish star hasn’t confirmed the exact injury, he shared a painful-looking photo on Twitter showing the war wounds he was left with after the clash.

He captioned the snap: ‘..utter scumbaggery on #WWERaw (sic)’

Thankfully, it’s not expected that Sheamus will have to miss any time.

This comes weeks after fans were concerned when Carrillo himself took a nasty fall during a previous match with Sheamus.

The high flying superstar was in the middle of a hard hitting non-title match with the US Champ when he hit a sunset flip powerbomb to the outside of the ring.

However, his knee looked to buckle and he appeared to land on the small of his back, with the Celtic Warrior landing on top of him.

There was a bit of confusion for people watching as the referee checked on both men, and it seemed like Sheamus was also checking on his opponent while they were on the ground.

Humberto looked to signal that he was hurt, and the referee called off the match in a smart move to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Big decisions having to be made on the fly is nothing new in pro wrestling, and former WWE veteran Mike Chioda recently opened up on almost having to end The Undertaker and Goldberg’s match in Saudi Arabia.

The referee exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘I almost had to call an audible during the Undertaker/Goldberg match at Saudi Arabia.

‘It went downhill after Goldberg got gashed open in the turnbuckle, got concussed. He was badly concussed and he got through the match, but barely. That’s when I was kinda worried because I thought, “oh my God!”

‘After the suplex, they almost broke their necks. “Oh my God, let’s get this done,” he was so concussed.

‘I was waiting to hear back from somebody to say, “should I call this match or not because he’s not doing good at all?” ‘

The two legends of the business battled in Saudi Arabia in 2019, and things took a bad turn when Goldberg hit the turnbuckle post hard and ended up ‘concussed’, with the pair struggling through the remainder of nine-minute match.

In one scary moment, he attempted his signature Jackhammer move and almost dropped ‘Taker on his head, which was inches away from breaking his opponent’s neck and could have been fatal.
