Fox eye surgery is the new big trend Danielle Lloyd loves but it ‘makes you look like Spock from Star Trek’

A COSMETIC surgery clinic has been slammed on social media for turning hundreds of women into “Spock from Star Trek” with its “fox eye” treatment.

The surgery trend is loved by celebs, including Danielle Lloyd, and works by pulling the eyes upwards.

MCR Aesthetics, a clinic based in Manchester, came under fire for its ‘glow-up’ packages, which see womens’ eyebrows pulled taut, as people are criticising before and after pictures shared to Instagram.

The trend sees supposedly invisible strings put in above the eyes to pull them upwards.

It uses biodegradable threads to surgically lift the eyes and the results can last anything from weeks up until a year.

Followers of the clinic online, however, have been left baffled by the results and comments are comparing the ‘after’ photos to Spock, Bratz Dolls and the witches in 1993 movie Hocus Pocus.

Critics claim the treatment is turning women into creepy zombie-like clones, with one person commenting: “Those eyebrows are like she’s from another planet.”

“She looks like an alien,” another said.

One person commented: “Spockish – hard no,” while another shared: “Why oh why do this to your face shape it’s perfect as it was , it’s unnatural the point it looks like one of Hocus Pocus.”

“Now they all look like blow up clones of each other,” added one critic.

Another suggested: “Everyone’s cloned to look like Bratz dolls. Why!!!! They are all on a very slippery expensive slope… taking full advantage of people’s insecurities.”

MCR Aesthetics is based in Manchester and claims to have ‘feet on the floor’ in Liverpool, Marbella and Los Angeles.

Its website boasts: “Higher cheeks and fuller lips, it’s a look we can never get tired of.

Danielle opted for the treatment to prevent ‘jowls and lines’ after feeling insecure[/caption]

The fox eye treatment is a hit among celebrities, with former Celebrity Big Brother star Danielle revealing she’d had the procedure in March, earlier this year.

Speaking to Closer magazine, Danielle said: “Seeing all these gorgeous young girls on Instagram also made me feel insecure and worry about my age – I turn 38 later this year, and the prospect of being 40 worries me.

“I want to look my best, and this procedure prevents things like jowls and lines, so I thought, ‘Prevention is better than cure!’ I know I’m a little bit obsessed but it makes me feel better.”

Katie Price has had similar treatments and underwent a face and eye lift in 2019[/caption]

“Straight after the procedure, I was bruised and swollen for around 24 hours, so I did look scary,” Danielle revealed, explaining that her husband Michael O’Neil wasn’t happy and warned her not to “f*** her face up”.

In 2019, former glamour model Katie was seen undergoing a similar surgical procedure in Turkey, where she opted for a face and eye lift.

Having their say on the treatment, Naveen Cavale – a consultant plastic surgeon at the London-based Real Plastic Surgery clinic – urged: “Please be careful when considering such extreme procedures that could have permanent effects (or side effects) at a young age.

“Find a GMC specialist doctor or NMC certified aesthetic nurse, practising out of a properly CQC regulated clinic, not a beauty parlour or spa.”
