Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live to finally welcome back live studio audience
Good news, folks – Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen will be bringing back live in-studio audiences in just a few weeks.
Like many live shows, the Bravo program has had to work with a virtual audience since March 2020 thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, that will change on June 13 when his audience will be there in the flesh along with guests Uzo Aduba and John Benjamin Hickey.
To adhere to social distancing regulations, the audience has been reduced from 36 to 20.
Meanwhile, all audience members will have to be vaccinated.
In a statement, Andy explained: ‘I can’t wait to welcome back my gang of 20 cocktail companions! Also — throwing a party for one every night was starting to get extremely depressing.’
As the world slowly continues to get back to normal, some of the show’s guest might still appear remotely even after the audience returns.
It comes after The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon became the first late-night show to welcome back live musical guests last month.
Viewers of the long-running NBC series – which has had a number of in-studio guests in recent weeks – got to enjoy the first live performance, courtesy of hip hop producer J. Period.
The hip-hop producer performed All in Your Head featuring The Roots member Black Thought and Tiffany Gouché.
His song, which is the first single on J. Period’s Story To Tell (Chapter One) project, also features narration by Dave Chappelle.
The comedian was a guest on the night and he brought his own crowd along to help promote his new podcast, The Midnight Miracle.
Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen airs weeknights on Bravo.
