Glow Up series 3 star Jack made a heartwarming tribute to their close friend Elliott in one of their make-up looks following Elliott’s elimination.

The 27-year-old care worker and make-up artist and Elliott go way back, having known each other for the best part of 10 years after meeting at college in Cambridge.

Following Jack’s exit from the competition after this week’s semi-final, Jack shared that a little bit of Elliott made it into their week four Creative Brief, which saw the contestants challenged to create an ‘out of this world’ look.

Sadly though, viewers were kept in the dark about the gesture.

‘The headpiece that I used for my look was by Elliot,’ Jack said. ‘He had made it, brought it to the show and then was like, “I’m going home so here you go”.’

Jack had been given Elliott’s blessing to do something fun with the accessory and before unveiling the tribute to the judges, they rang him up to get his verdict.

‘I had even shown Elliott on FaceTime and asked what he made of it,’ Jack recalled. ‘I wanted him to see it because this would have been episode his episode.

‘I wanted to bring a bit of Elliot into it so that was a bit gutting it didn’t make the show.’

Jack also shared there was a sweet moment between them and presenter Maya Jama from the most recent episode that they really treasure.

‘We were shooting with Rankin and there weren’t many people left so there was a lot of time to talk and things like that,’ Jack remembered.

‘We were both laying on a lounger chair together and scrolling through Instagram and looking at pictures and laughing. It was a relaxing time.

‘It just felt I was at home in bed with my best friend chilling.’

Glow Up concludes on Tuesday at 7pm on BBC Three.
