Jeremy Clarkson has been spotted celebrating with fans following Chelsea FC’s Champions League win – and he’s absolutely living for them chanting his name.

The former Top Gear host, 61, was in Porto in Portugal for the game, which saw Chelsea win 1-0 against Manchester City, and he was filmed enjoying the moment with his fellow football fans.

Jeremy could be seen beaming with a smile as the fans incorporated his name into their songs, as he encouraged them to continue singing.

He could also be heard yelling ‘f**king Manc b******ds’ and hugging and high-fiving the high-spirited crowd as they repeated: ‘Oh, Jeremy Clarkson!’

The Grand Tour host is a lifelong fan of Chelsea football club and had been in Portugal at the same time to film the new series of the Amazon Prime show after the country was put on the green list for overseas travel.

Jeremy tweeted from his trip: ‘We launched the Grand Tour in Portugal and now….. It’s a country where great things happen.’

Jeremy recently revealed that turning 61 made him face up to his own mortality, after losing his father at the same age.

He explained to Saga magazine (via The Mirror): ‘Everyone I know dies at 61. All my friends did, my dad did, that’s when you go “If I make it to 62, I’ll be here forever.”

‘When dad died, I thought of him as an old man, but I don’t feel old,’ admitting he still thinks he is a teenager in his head.

Jeremy received his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine in March after previously opening up about his ‘scary’ bout of Covid-19 over Christmas.

He told The Times: ‘The doctor was very clear: I’d feel under the weather for between five and 14 days and then I’d either get better or I’d have to go to hospital.

‘Where, because I am 60 and fat, and because I’ve smoked half a million cigarettes and had double pneumonia, I’d probably die, on my own, in a lonely plastic tent.’

He added: ‘With every illness I’ve had, there has always been a sense that medicine and time would eventually ride to the rescue, but with Covid-19 you have to lie there, on your own, knowing that medicine is not on its way and that time is your worst enemy.’
