Max Verstappen’s Red Bull F1 Car Called up for Surprise Inspection After Monaco GP

Earlier, there was an interesting development in Formula One. This took place when the FIA published a document after the Monaco Grand Prix. Apparently, immediately after the Monaco Grand Prix, Max Verstappen had to see his race-winning Red Bull come under the scanner. Luckily, the RB16B passed all the tests and the Dutchman kept his win.

The document said, “After the race of the Monaco GP car number 33 was randomly chosen among the top ten cars for more extensive physical inspections. Subject to these physical inspections were the pedal assembly including brake master cylinders, throttle pedal position sensing, associated dampers, surroundings within the survival cell, sensors and their loom rooting and connections to the SECU and other units. All inspected components were found to be in compliance with the 2021 Formula One Technical Regulations”

After all the drama surrounding Red Bull’s ‘flexi-wings’, this investigation is the last thing they need. It was fortunate that Verstappen’s car came out clean, so he could keep his win.

Red Bull were lucky to escape this time

Some would confess that this was Mercedes’ way of messing with the Austrian team. However, rationality and the FIA insists that the investigation was completely random. At least Red Bull and Max Verstappen will be sighing in relief, knowing that their car is completely legal.

Now, the Austrian team will be looking ahead to this weekend’s race at Azerbaijan. After that race weekend, the FIA is going to conduct a number of tests on the wings. Over here, the idea to prevent too much wing mobility. The Red Bull team came under much scrutiny from rivals over this issue and they will hope to pass the tests.

For the moment, all that they can do is keep their heads and try to preserve their championship leads. Mercedes slipped up in Monaco, with Red Bull and Max Verstappen taking full advantage. They can be sure that the German giants will try to come back stronger and not make any more mistakes.
