Tipping Point first started airing on ITV in July 2012 and quickly took off in popularity with viewers.

The game show, presented by Ben Shephard, tests contestants on their general knowledge, with each correct answer letting them win counters which they use on a large coin pusher arcade-style machine.

The winner at the end has a chance to take home any money; the others leave with nothing except any non-cash prizes they may have won during the game.

After becoming popular with audiences at home, the show decided to add some celebrity sparkle, with famous faces taking part in special episodes in the hope of winning £20,000 for charity.

The first celebrity edition of Tipping Point, titled Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, aired on ITV back in June 2013.

The first round of celebrity contestants to take part in the show, hosted as usual by Ben Shephard, were football pundit Chris Kamara, Countdown queen Rachel Riley and Loose Women’s Stacey Solomon.

Since them, there’s been over 70 episodes of Tipping Point: Lucky Stars with the full line-up of celebs who’ve taken part covering a wide range of names.

From UK soap favourites including Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver (Eileen) and Simon Gregson (Steve Barlow) to iconic James Bond girl Britt Ekland (The Man with the Golden Gun), the show has welcomed an exciting variety of stars.

The show aired its seventh series in 2021, with celebrity contestants this year including 80s pop star Toyah Wilcox, actress and singer Sheila Ferguson, TOWIE’s Mark Wright, Judge Rinder and comedian Melvin Odoom.
