2021 Memorial Tournament Weekend Weather Forecast: Will it Rain at Muirfield Village Golf Club?

The 2021 Memorial Tournament is gaining all the attention on the PGA Tour. The event is one of the most prestigious ones on the calendar, and Jon Rahm is putting his title up for defense this year. The venue, Muirfield Village Golf Club, is a spectacular one, but inclement weather massively delayed proceedings in Round 1. Here’s how the weather forecast looks for the remaining three rounds.

Rain played spoilsport on Thursday as only half the field finished the first round. Play was suspended twice so one can imagine how bad it would’ve been. Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland were just through two holes when the weather grew treacherous and forced the organizers to suspend play.

Round 2 Weather forecast at the 2021 Memorial Tournament

Friday, June 4, looks to be a pleasant day for golf at  Muirfield Village Golf Club even though bright clouds aren’t expected to grace the venue. The temperature in the morning will be sunny and will reach upto 78° Fahrenheit, with wind gushes of 10mph.

There is a 6% chance of precipitation in the morning, but the climate will be humid due to the previous day’s rain, predicts accuweather.com

While the morning will be graced with shiny weather, the afternoon is expected to turn even more humid with the temperature rising up to 83°F. Even though there is a 15% chance of precipitation in the noon, the weather is expected to steer clear of rains.

Round 3 weather forecast

Saturday, June 5, is yet another day that the players will enjoy at Muirfield Village. The conditions look ideal for golf as there is no major rain prediction. The temperature is expected to rise to a high of  86°in the day, while the real feel will be as much as 89°.

South West winds averaging eight miles per hour will hit the golf course, and the wind gusts are expected to touch 13mph during the day. Accuweather predicts that there is only a 2% chance of precipitation on Saturday, and there is no possibility of a thunderstorm forming.

Sun will burn it out in the morning and afternoon, but clear weather is always better than cloudy or rainy climates. Humidity will be felt in the air during Round 3, but the players would be content, knowing that there is very little chance for rain.
