Hulk Hogan is super impressed with Chris Hemsworth’s biceps and kind of taking the credit
Chris Hemsworth’s biceps have been attracting all the fan praise since he posted a picture of himself looking next-level buff, with director Taika Waititi, to celebrate wrapping filming on Thor: Love and Thunder.
A range of Hollywood’s muscular stars congratulated the actor on the film’s completion – and surely his massive arms too, because talent recognises talent – including Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jason Momoa.
But now retired wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has joined the conversation, complimenting the Marvel superhero’s ‘Hogan Pump’ and essentially suggesting Chris’ physique is more about the upcoming Hulk Hogan biopic in which he is set to star and less about the whole god of thunder thing.
The film, which was announced in 2019 and has Joker director Todd Philips attached to direct, is set to cover the WWE wrestler’s career and will be ‘an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania’, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Reposting Chris’ admittedly hulked-out black and white shot, Hulk excitedly declared: ‘My brother has that Hogan Pump on Jack, looks like he could slam Andre brother’, referring to another icon of wrestling, the late Andre the Giant.
And this isn’t the first time Hulk has commented on the Thor actor’s pumped-up physique, having posted a side-by-side bicep comparison shot of the two of them back in November, exclaiming: ‘He’s already there! He’s ready BROTHER!!! But is he good looking enough to play me lol, lol, lol.’
We understand Hulk’s investment in the casting – Chris Hemsworth is an inspired choice, and an actor with a proven track record for putting in the physical work to get impressive results.
Although Chris’ older brother Luke Hemsworth recently trolled him by suggesting he was ‘skipping legs day again’, the Aussie actor’s trainer Luke Zocchi previously revealed to Metro.co.uk that the secret to getting Chris into tip-top shape was ‘healthy competition’.
Chris’ stunt double, Bobby Holland Hanton, also owned up to the difficulty he has in measuring up against Chris’ body.
‘It’s a job in itself to be fair,’ Bobby told Metro.co.uk. ‘He’s literally a man that looks like he’s been carved out of ice, it’s insane. He’s in the best shape of anyone I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
‘So it’s very difficult to try and even get close to his physique.’
Unless you’re Hulk Hogan, of course.
