“Shoot My Shot”: Coco Gauff Confident of Playing Doubles With Serena Williams After Pairing With Venus at French Open
The French Open 2021 has already witnessed many unique and quite amazing things. From upsets to some one-sided contests, it has been a package, full of entertainment and thrill so far. One of the really intriguing things was Coco Gauff pairing up with Venus Williams in the double category of the Grand Slam.
Fans became quite excited after they got to know that the 17-year-old Coco Gauff would be pairing up with the 40-year-old Venus Williams. Venus and Serena Williams have always been the tennis idols for Gauff and it was like a dream come true for her. Even though the pair couldn’t reach the second round of Roland Garros 2021, Gauff loved the experience of playing alongside Venus.
In a recent interview, Gauff revealed that she now wants to pair up with Serena Williams in the doubles category. She believes that she can convince her to play with her someday. Thus, there are chances that fans might see the pair of Serena and Gauff taking on some opponents together.

“Maybe I can get Serena on the same side next… Shoot my shot,” said Gauff in the interview.
Interestingly, it was the first time when Venus Williams played in the doubles category without her sister at a Grand Slam. Although she along with Gauff, didn’t get the desired results, she surely enjoyed playing with a youngster.

Serena Williams got off to a great start at the French Open 2021
After a poor start to her clay-court season, fans feared that this might turn out to be the worst season for Serena. However, she trained hard and made an incredible comeback at the French Open 2021.
Even though she has faced some troubles, the 23-time Grand Slam champion has managed to find a way to win. In the first round, she thrashed Irina Begu in straight sets, and in the second one, she fought back after losing the second set against Mihaela Buzarnescu.
Serena Williams will be up against Danielle Rose Collins in the third round today. Fans have really high expectations from her and want her to perform well at Roland Garros. Will she be able to lift her 24th Grand Slam title in Paris this year?
