Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins red-faced in live TV blunder as she appears on It’ll Be Alright on the Night
TV presenter Charlotte Hawkins was left red-faced after a live blunder on Good Morning Britain.
The moment will feature tonight on It’ll Be Alright on the Night – but Charlotte gave fans a reminder of the awkward moment ahead of its screening.
Posting the clip on Instagram, Charlotte said: “Uh oh… well that’s one way to get yourself on Saturday night TV Catch this one on It’ll be Alright on the Night – tonight at 9pm on.”
After returning from an advert break, Charlotte was seen sneakily applying her lipstick.
But she was caught on camera and forced to apologise to viewers.
“I’m so sorry,” laughed Charlotte.
“I didn’t realise we were on air.
“Anyway I was just doing my own make-up because obviously we don’t have make-up artists in the studio.
“I was just doing a quick top up while no one was watching.
“Turns out the whole nation was watching.”

In April, Charlotte appeared on Celebrity Catchphrase and name-dropped her former co-star Piers Morgan.
Quizzed about him in an episode recorded before he sensationally quit GMB, presenter Stephen Mulhern asked Charlotte, 45: “How do you cope with Piers Morgan?”

She replied: “That’s a much tougher challenge, Stephen. I should have earplugs or something.”
Stephen, 44, told her: “He does talk a lot.”
She replied: “He talks a heck of a lot, you’re right.”
Former BGT spin-off host Stephen added: “He used to be a judge on Britain’s Got Talent so I know first hand – it’s too much, too much.”
