‘I’ve Already Signed the Contract’- Colby Covington Reveals Big News for Kamaru Usman Rematch

UFC President Dana White has recently revealed that Colby Covington will be facing Kamaru Usman next for the UFC welterweight title. It will be a rematch between the duo. Usman previously finished Covington at UFC 245 in his first title defense.

Now, ‘Chaos’ has revealed that he has signed the contract for the fight and the dates have been discussed. However, Covington believes ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ might not accept the fight and retire as the champion fears him. Those claims are certainly a bit over the top and a testament to Covington’s pro-wrestling persona. But fans will certainly be excited to hear the news.

“Yeah, you know that they know the contract’s been offered to me. I’ve already signed the contract. We just figured out the date. And you know, I don’t even know if it’s gonna be Marty Juiceman. Maybe he’s gonna retire and run off into the sunset because he knows I’m going to take his health. So he’d rather just go retire as the champion, you know the fake champion because he didn’t win,” said Covington to The Schmo.

Colby Covington says Kamaru Usman is a fake champion

Covington dismissed Usman’s win in their previous contest. ‘Chaos’ believes Usman cheated in that fight. He also doesn’t agree with the stoppage of that fight.

“It was a lot of controversy in our first fight. You can’t claim to be the best in the world when you’re faking nut shots, faking eye pokes take taking timeouts, hitting me in the back of the head, and getting an early stoppage when I stood right up and protested it,” he added.

“So you know if he wants to be a coward and run away in the sunset with his with a fake paper title he’s got then cool do it, but I’m fighting for the UFC world title next. Dana White clarified it, he doubled down, he said it again the other day, so it doesn’t matter if it’s gonna be Marty if it’s gonna be the next guy in line, but I’m fighting for the title soon,” Covington concluded.

‘Chaos‘ and ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ came up with one of the best fights in the recent history of the UFC when they first met. So fans can expect fireworks when both men collide again inside the Octagon again.
