Kim Kardashian has no regrets about sex tape storyline on Keeping Up With The Kardashians: ‘I wasn’t gonna hold back’
Kim Kardashian has no regrets about discussing her famous sex tape scandal on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The 40-year-old rose to fame when her sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J leaked online in 2007.
It was such headline news that Kim and her family addressed it straight away in the first episode of KUWTK which debuted on E! later that year.
Kim has now admitted that it was probably the best decision to tackle it head-on in front of cameras.
She told the Los Angeles Times: ‘I do think that, obviously, as producers, I’m sure they loved it. And loved [us] wanting to talk about the elephant in the room. And I probably wouldn’t have, unless it was for the show.
‘Sometimes I feel like, “OK, I know I should probably deal and get this over with. Someone’s gonna ask me, so I might as well just go ahead and do it”.’
Kim continued: ‘In a way, filming has helped us deal with things, instead of sweeping them under the rug.
‘At the end of the day, I was always open and honest and wanted to share whatever I was going through. I wasn’t gonna hold back.’
The Kardashian-Jenner clan are in a reflective mood as KUWTK comes to an end next week after 15 years of entertaining us all.
In the penultimate episode which aired last week, Kim was seen breaking down over her marriage split from Kanye West.
She had mostly kept their marital problems off-screen but couldn’t avoid the subject when confronted by her sister Khloe.
During a heart-to-heart with Khloe and her other siblings, Kourtney, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Kim said through tears: ‘I just, like, honestly can’t do this anymore,’ she sobbed, stating she was ‘stuck’ while her estranged husband moves to a ‘different state every year’.
The mum-of-four continued: ‘I think he deserves someone that can go support his every move, and go follow him all over the place, and move to Wyoming. I can’t do that.
‘He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything, and I can’t.
I feel like a f**king failure that it’s, like, a third f**king marriage. Yeah, I feel like a f**king loser. I can’t even think of that, I want to be happy.’
