WATCH: French Open 2021 Crowd Boos Santoro for Wrong Introduction of Rafael Nadal

World No.3 Rafael Nadal recently registered his 31st straight win at the French Open. Facing Cameron Norrie in the third round of Roland Garros 2021, the Spaniard thrashed him in straight sets and won the match quite comfortably. The final scoreline of the match was 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.

In the post-match interview, on-court interviewer Fabrice Santoro made an error while introducing Rafael Nadal. He referred to him as a 12-time French Open champion instead of 13-time winner and fans didn’t like this at all.

As soon as they listened to it, they started to boo Santoro. In addition, they even started shouting ‘thirteen, thirteen’ so that the former French player could realize his mistake. Santoro later realized his mistake- which was most probably because of a slip of the tongue.

Meanwhile, Rafa was just smiling while listening to the question. He also got a bit distracted because of the booing of the crowd and as a result, asked Santoro to repeat the question.

Rafael Nadal will face Jannik Sinner in the pre-quarters of the French Open 2021

After enjoying an incredible form at the French Open 2021, Nadal will once again face Jannik Sinner in the fourth round of the tournament. The two met last year in the fourth round of the major as well where Rafa thrashed the 19-year-old in straight sets.

However, this time, Sinner is a much more experienced player and knows how to perform on clay. He has been really clinical in his recent performances and might prove to be a big challenge for the Spaniard. The Italian recently defeated Mikael Ymer in straight sets in the third round of the Grand Slam.

Rafael Nadal is, again and again, proving why he is the ‘King of Clay’. Just like every year, fans have huge expectations from him this year as well. Will he be able to conquer Paris for the 14th time in 2021?
