WATCH: Roman Reigns Botches The Names of Jimmy and Jey Uso in A SmackDown Segment

WWE SmackDown took a strange turn for the Samoan Bloodline this week (6/4/21). Not only Jimmy and Jey Uso botched their tag title opportunities, but Universal Champion Roman Reigns also had a slip of tongue.

After The Mysterios mistakenly defeated The Usos on the opening tag team title match, Roman summoned the brothers to his lounge. There, he had a heart-to-heart (read: verbal smackdown) with his cousins.

While The Usos tried to justify their stance, the ‘Tribal Chief‘ shut them up. He rebuked them over their loss against a child (Dominik Mysterio) as well as the fact that they embarrassed their family.

Towards the end of the promo, Roman messed up the names of his twin cousins. As he addressed Jey as Jimmy while closing the segment. As Jey corrected him, Reigns quickly snubbed him off by saying, “The way things are going, does it matter anyways?”

However, the mistake was purely unintentional, as Jimmy and Roman both tried to contain their laughter after the mistake. But Jey and Paul Heyman kept their composure.

Roman Reigns interfered in the main event of SmackDown

After Roman Reigns threatened The Uso Twins, they went to Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville for justice. The officials soon contacted Rey and Dominik for a rematch later that night.

The second match was equal to the first match, as both teams tried their best to outlive the other. Towards the end of the main event, The Mysterios almost won the match as Rey delivered a 619 to Jimmy and Dominik went to the top rope for a splash.

But Roman Reigns appeared out of nowhere and attacked Dominik with a superman punch. The match was termed no contest. Rey tried to come to his son’s rescue, but Reigns leveled him with a spear.

Reigns continued his assault upon The Mysterios as he yelled at The Usos. The Universal champ slammed the steel steps onto Dominik’s face and drops the rest onto Rey. Roman took Dominik inside the ring and put him in the guillotine lock as he passed out.

Jimmy, now recovered, asked Roman to stop the assault as he proceeded to leave the ring. He called for his brother Jey and the latter almost joined him before Roman stopped him.

An even more frustrated Roman, furious at the sight of Jey wanting to join his brother, unloaded more punches and a powerbomb on the laid-out Dominik as SmackDown went off the air.
