Jacqueline Jossa has revealed her ‘crazy’ experience dashing home from Portugal before the new travel rules kick in tomorrow.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star spent a week abroad on a work trip with husband Dan Osbourne and their two daughters, Ella, six, and Mia, two.

While Dan flew back a few days earlier, Jacqueline stayed on a little longer before returning just in the nick of time on Sunday as Portugal is set to be removed from the UK Government’s travel green list and placed on amber.

It seems others had the same idea about flying back before Tuesday, as Jacqueline, 28, revealed the airport was hectic.

Updating fans in her Instagram stories, the former EastEnders star said: ‘For those asking, Portugal was absolutely fine. You have to wear your masks everywhere. Obviously you have to get tested there, get tested on your way back and get tested here. You have to show all of your stuff as well.

‘It doesn’t go into the amber list until Tuesday so we don’t have to quarantine. We’ve done all our tests and everything was negative so we’re all good.’

She added of the ‘super super busy’ airport: ‘It was like crazy. The girls were actually really good considering, when I look back and think how long the queues were they were really good.’

Jacqueline then answered questions from followers in a Q&A and, when asked if it was nice to get out of the country, she replied: ‘It was so lovely can’t wait for the next one. I love coming back home after holiday too though, maybe I’m odd lol. Love my own bed.’

She replied to another fan inquiring about Portugal: ‘It’s a beautiful place, I’ve been many times and I love it every single time. Spain is still my fave though.’

One fan questioned Jacqueline’s decision to travel abroad during a pandemic, but she stated: ‘Because it was okay to do so… I was aloud [sic]… mad I have to say was aloud [sic]… like countries now have traffic life [sic] systems. Mad.

‘I wanted to, my life my choice. All the procedures where in place, was complete safe. All negative tests and forms filled in! Don’t worry my hun.’

The TV star also responded to a query about whether she supported the coronavirus vaccine, to which she said that she was ‘pro choice’.
